Vision is one of life’s greatest gifts.

Here’s your chance to give it.

The best part of the holidays is seeing your loved ones.
Pranish enjoys reading his books with his mother.

Pranish and his grandmother, Narayan Devi, have always been close. Since he was young, they would sit together reading stories, or spend time in their family garden in rural Nepal.

They also share a special bond because of something they both lost—their sight.

For Pranish, it started in nursery school, when it became clear that something was wrong. The blackboard was a blur, and so was the text in his schoolbooks.

As his vision faded, Pranish lost his confidence, along with so many of the things he loved, from drawing to playing with his friends in the schoolyard. His education—and his future— became very uncertain

For Narayan Devi, it started when the faces of her loved ones started to blur.

Slowly, she lost her independence, her connection to her community, and many of the things that gave her life meaning—like going to the market, or tending to her beloved garden.

No family should have to grapple with vision loss and the many other losses it brings.

Especially twice over.
