Dr. Larry Louie, acclaimed photographer and Edmonton optometrist, has had one of his photos chosen to represent the United Nations Development Programmes Millenium goals. Larry's photo at the blind school in Tanzania took 3rd place in the professional category. This photo will represent the UN's goal to provide primary universal education for all children around the the world. This photo will be highlighted and be on exhibit at the UN building in New York and Tokyo for the next year. Larry and his wife, Joanna Wong, are fantastic supporters of Seva's work and they hope that this recognition at the UN will also highlight the work that is being done by the Kilimanjaro Center for Community Ophthalmology in Tanzania and Seva with their work in ending preventable blindness in the world. Congratulations to Larry and his wife Joanna for this latest success!
