Susan Erdmann, a Seva board member and long-time supporter, is the grand prize winner of the Paperblanks In The Photo Contest http://bit.ly/mUkK38. Susan, who is incredibly creative, is a visual display artist by profession and has a passion for travel, especially to Asia.
“I’ve always engaged in creative expression through painting, photography, writing, flower arranging and design applied to clothing or advertising. I also studied music quite seriously and wistfully dream of winning So You Think You Can Dance (the age limit and two bad knees would make that an impossibility!). Currently I spend my creative time mainly developing my photography practice and writing” says Susan.

Well she danced her way into our hearts at Seva many years ago when she began volunteering and supporting our programs. Susan, an integral member of our board, spends her time volunteer travelling, collecting photos and stories from our partners in Tibet and Nepal. Susan also promotes Seva through informational presentations in and around Vancouver. Susan has loved Paperblanks® journals since they were generously donated to Seva to sell and use 100% of the proceeds for our programs worldwide. At first she was hesitant to use her journals for anything other than poetry or prose because they were so beautiful. She finally overcame her tentativeness and now uses her Paperblanks for everything from quotes and recipes to shopping lists and everyday thoughts. Congratulations Susan! Your wide array of talents never ceases to amaze us. Contact admin@seva.ca or call 604-713-6622 to learn more about our 1/2 price Paperblanks journals. 100% of proceeds go to restoring sight and preventing blindness in the developing world.
