The printer's proofs for the Seva 2012 calendar are in from the printer and look fantastic! The job will go on press soon in Vancouver (on forest-certified paper) and will be available in early June. Seva 2012 calendar - all proceeds to restore sight and fight blindnessFor many years, Seva Canada has produced calendars to raise funds for eye care programs in the developing world. The 2012 calendar once again feature the vibrant and joyful photographs of Jon Kaplan, a US photographer who has generously donated his photos to Seva for many years. The design is by Gregory Green of Gabriola Island. By purchasing the calendar, you are helping to restore sight and prevent blindness in some of the poorest regions of the world. Seva (pronounced say-va) means "service" in Sanskrit. Our vision is of a world in which no one is needlessly blind or visually impaired and those with unavoidable vision loss can achieve their full potential. Seva works with partners in Nepal, Tibet, India, Cambodia, Tanzania, Malawi, Madagascar, Egypt, and Guatemala to create sustainable and locally managed eye care programs that will serve communities for generations to come. We hope you enjoy our 2012 calendar and will purchase some for friends, family or colleagues or that you will donate directly to our programs to fight blindness. To purchase calendars wholesale call 604-713-6622 or toll-free 1-877-460-6622. Online purchase of 2012 calendars will be available in August. Here's a sneak peak at all the images! Watch this space for news of when the finished calendars are here from the printer. Seva Canada 2012 preview sheet with Jon Kaplan impages
